Apple Sends Press Invites for iPad Event on October 22


This morning, Apple sent invites to select members of the press to join them for a special event on October 22. To be hosted in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Apple is expected to announce and give details on the next-generation iPad, next-generation iPad mini, updated MacBook Pros, the radical new Mac Pro, and OS X Mavericks.

They still have a lot to cover.

What to expect:

  • 5th generation iPad: Thinner, lighter, faster
  • iPad mini 2: Retina display, please
  • OS X Mavericks: With over 200 new features including iBooks, Maps, and iCloud Keychain, the world’s most advanced OS advances even further.
  • The all-new Mac Pro: Previewed in June, this will be one of the most radical and amazing updates to the Mac Pro. Ever.
  • MacBook Pro: Updated with Intel Haswell processors
  • Mac mini: Haswell, perhaps?
  • Updated Apple iOS apps, including iWork and iLife


  • Apple TV
  • Apple 4K display (to complement the new Mac Pro)

We Remember Steve Jobs

Remembering SteveToday marks the second anniversary of the passing of Steve Jobs. The world will forever remember his hard work and dedication to empowering and enriching the lives of millions.

Steve was the one who brought Apple out of bankruptcy; more importantly, the products as a result have had an impact on the world. Without him, there would be no Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Store, Pixar, and most importantly, Apple.

Steve, you have provided us tools otherwise unimaginable. Every move of yours quaked the world, and so did your passing. But your spirit lives on; and so does Apple.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Thank you Steve.

New Kindle Fire HD Ad Compares Kindle with iPad’s latest ad comes targeted directly at Apple’s iPad with Retina display.

It shows how the screens are exactly the same quality, and how the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is cheaper. However, Kindle Fire HD doesn’t even come with its own wall adapter for charging. That’s an extra $20! (Still, it’s technically cheaper.)

Personally, I think both tablets are great. Amazon is a great company and I certainly trust them. Amazon is so much better than Google.

By the way, the first thing I said when I first saw this ad was LOL.

Apple to Release 128GB iPad with Retina Display on February 5th

Apple announced in a press release this morning that beginning February 5, 2013, they will sell a 128GB iPad with Retina display. This is going to be great for corporate users who have training manuals, videos, 3D CAD files, blueprints, etc., as the extra storage will enable them to do even more. The Wi-Fi model costs $799 and the Wi-Fi + Cellular costs a whopping $929 (still in line with Apple’s pricing, however).
